About Me

Diana Namorado (1990)

🎹 My musical training

I completed my secondary education at the Academy of Music of Santa Cecília, in Lisbon, in 2008. I continued my studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz and Modern Music at the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, where I was awarded a merit scholarship every semester and received the Ministry of Education’s Merit Award in 2013.

My ongoing training led me to the very prestigious Berklee College of Music, where I completed courses in:

  • Contemporary Composition Techniques (2019)

  • Music Production (2023)

  • Orchestration (2024)

  • Music Composition for Film and TV (2025)

This most recent course enhanced my ability to create original music tailored to visual storytelling and cinematic emotion. It allows me to compose for short films, documentaries, trailers, and television content, adapting the music to the specific narrative and emotional contour of each project.

🎤 Professional Experience as a Musician

As a pianist and composer, I have worked across a range of pop/rock, jazz and world music projects. I have performed both as a soloist and as a chamber music accompanist.

In 2023, I released my first album of original music, Inquietude. More recently, I released the EP Ao Som de um Poema, a piano and voice project exploring intimacy and emotional narrative, reflecting my current focus on writing music for film, television, and visual media.

🎵 Experience in Music Teaching

Since 2010, I have been dedicated to teaching piano, musical expression, music education, and music theory. I work with children as young as 4 years old, teenagers, and adults, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs and goals.

I have extensive experience preparing students for exams at the Conservatory of Lisbon and the Academy of Music of Santa Cecília, as well as for Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. My students consistently achieve Merit and Distinction classifications in their evaluations.
